WHAT IT IS
A day to honor our community’s heroes.
We’re bringing the whole community together to celebrate what we love most: football, food, and fun. And we’re putting the spotlight where it belongs, on the heroes who serve our towns. Our first responders and our teachers. It’s a day for all of us, built around the people who give the most.
Football on the Big Screen
Dollar hot dogs, dollar BBQ sandwiches, and drinks. Come hungry.

A Live DJ
Great music all day long while we watch the game and celebrate our area.

Bring the kids. There’s fun for every age, all afternoon.

A tug-of-war between our first responder units, plus our top teachers honored.

First responders and teachers celebrated from start to finish. This is their day.
The Heart Of It
Honoring the people who serve.
First Responders
The ones who keep us safe.
Our first responders are working day in and day out to save, protect, and watch over our communities. Police, firefighters, EMS, and dispatchers. This is the day we say thank you.
At halftime, the units go head to head in a good old-fashioned tug-of-war. The winning first responders’ unit gets to choose a first responder vehicle: a UTV or a golf cart.
Teachers
The ones who shape our future.
Our teachers are teaching and growing our next generation, and too often they buy their own classroom supplies and outfit their own rooms with their hard-earned money.
We’ll honor the top teacher based on how many people they bring out to write their names in. That teacher wins a classroom rebuild.

At halftime, the whole crowd turns out for a good old-fashioned tug-of-war between our first responder units, and we honor our top teachers for rallying their communities. It’s the heart of the day.

Does it cost anything?
Getting in is free. Food is just a dollar. Dollar hot dogs, dollar BBQ sandwiches. Bring the family.
Can I bring my own food and drinks?
Bring your own drinks if you like. We ask that you leave outside food at home, but the food here is just a dollar, so come hungry.
Is this a political rally?
No. It’s a community tailgate honoring our first responders and teachers, with food, entertainment, and a great time.
Who’s behind it?
David Hatley, a Tennessee builder running for governor as an independent, with no party and no donors, just Tennessee.
Do I need to RSVP?
It’s an open invitation and everyone’s welcome. An RSVP just helps us plan, so please do if you can.
